Send a certificate request for signing by Sectigo

This form cannot be used to get a .pri certificate signed by Sectigo. Your options are to create a cname using a uwo.ca domain or get it signed by the Western Authority.

Note:

As of January 1, 2019 Sectigo is Western's certificate Authority.

You will need to install this new Intermediate certificate on your server.

WTS does not charge for this service and there are no fees to use Sectigo certificates.

You will need to generate a certificate request see How to generate a request.

Then fill in the following jira form with the following values using the link below.

You must log into jira first.
Sectigo Signed Certificate Request at https://westernu.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/46/group/193/create/850

Email address: Your email address

Server domain Name: Fully qualified domain name (FQDN)

Server port: This is the port that the certificate will be run on.

Certificate signing request:
From the certificate request file you generated cut the Certificate Signing Request (CSR).
This is the part of the file between and including the begin and end lines.

Web Server Software: Select your web server from the drop down list.

Authorizing Contact: Authorizing contact email for the head of the department or faculty requesting this certificate.

Contact Person: Technical contact email for the person responsible for maintaining the web server.

Department: Select your department from the drop down list 

 

Does this domain require validation: non uwo.ca domains need to be validate once a year before any certificates can be signed

Verification process:

WTS will approve the certificate signing and Sectigo will issue the certificate. WTS will then send the signed certificate to you.
